As the world’s population has doubled during the last half century, the consumption of resources by each person has increased dramatically. This has made it much more likely, that we will run out of resources. The population is projected to reach over 10 Billion people by the year 2050. Which could cause a low in resources. The population growth could but a catastrophic strain on Earth’s ecosystems, governments and life on Earth.
The first example of this is grain production because grain production has fallen behind the population the production for grain is decreasing the request for fertilizer is decreasing. In addition, since the population is increasing there will be more houses taking up space for farms.
The second example is fresh water because as the population increases the supply of fresh water is decreasing. You can even see this happen some rivers are running dry because of use of water. Also Aquifers are disappearing and The International Water Management Institute says that around a billion people will face water sacristy by 2025.
The Last example is meat production. Almost 37% of grain will be used to feed livestock and as the meat production increases nearly twice as fast as the population the grain being used for livestock will only increase.
Even though technology is increasing and some people say that technology is the key to solving the lack of resources but that is not the case technology can’t make more space for farming or create water only us and mother nature can do that.
In conclusion eventually we will run out of resources like grain meat and clean water.
